Medication can be an important part of ADHD treatment for many people, and it is never the only thing we consider. Your psychiatric nurse practitioner will review what has been tried before, other mental health symptoms such as anxiety or depression, and how you actually live day to day. Together you can decide whether a medication trial, a change, or a pause makes sense.
Holistic psychiatry at Luminary Mind means we also talk about foundations that affect attention: sleep, movement, substance use, and whether supplements might reasonably support your plan. Supplement use should be coordinated with your prescriber—some products interact with psychiatric medications. We would rather help you sort that out than leave you guessing from a bottle label.
If therapy, coaching, or school/work accommodations would help, we can discuss referrals rather than pretending medication replaces every kind of support. The aim is lasting stability and a plan you understand, not a quick fix.
